“Who came here firstly was the Red Cross. We were empty handed so they gave blankets, a spade, knives, saucepans, spoons, hotplates, cooking pots, hammer, nails, wood, tarpaulins. Red Cross helped a lot, gave us the best. We were happy.” – Enock
Enock and his family lost their home and garden in the volcano eruption on Ambae, Vanuatu. Red Cross helped support them in the immediate aftermath with emergency supplies, and provided Enock with a phone card so he could call his son back in Australia and let him know he was ok.
