How buying a charity gift works

It's really easy!

Buying a Real Good Gift is real easy!

Simply follow these simple steps:

  1. Select the gift or gifts you want, then pay at the check-out.
  2. You’ll receive two emails from us. An invoice and a separate email with a link to your printable charity gift card. If you’ve bought multiple gifts, you’ll receive an email for each one.
  3. You can print out the gift card – typing or handwriting a personal message - and give it to your lucky gift receiver yourself. Or you can email the gift card to your recipient, with a typed personal message.

Feel real good about yourself, you just gave a real good gift!

What you're giving

When you select a Real Good Gift for your mother-in-law, best friend, Kris Kringle – in fact anyone – your charity gift goes to help real people.

Give a Phone Call or Hot, Healthy Meal and your gift supports people who are isolated or overcoming crisis, add a water storage tank to your cart and you’ll provide water and sanitation to people around our region.

How our charity gifts are chosen

Red Cross is part of the largest humanitarian network in the world, working here in Australia and in almost every country on earth.

Our gifts reflect the real work our teams on the ground deliver.

They are real and tangible, and make a real difference.

Where your money goes

Each gift represents the work we do in Australia or overseas. For example, we have mentors in the Australian youth justice system; we provide chickens to families in Timor Leste; we install clean water taps in communities around the Asia Pacific. We also do many other things, and prioritise this work according to where the need is greatest.

The money from your ethical gift will be pooled into funds to support specific areas of work or programs, and by doing this, we can ensure our Red Cross staff and volunteers are making the greatest impact on people’s lives.

You can read exactly how your donation will be used on each charity gift page.

In Australia we work with people overcoming crisis, help in disasters, support refugees and work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Overseas we’re on the ground after major disasters and were in communities over the long haul helping them access clean water, maternal health and other life changing programs.
