A Goat Shelter

October 18, 2019

“Since we extended the shelter, there have been no further livestock losses. Last year we didn't lose any animals. We say in Mongolia, if our gers or our beds are warm, we can survive. If the animal shelter is warm, they can survive. So this is a very important thing. Now the animals can stay warm and safe in winter.”- Lhamjav Idersure

Lhamjav and her family are Mongolian farmers. The harsh Mongolian winters often result in the loss of livestock for the local farming communities. These shelters can hold up to 500-600 animals and keep them safe in the winter.
